Die schottische Folkband gründete sich Ende der 1960er Jahre in Edinburgh. Das Debütalbum "Boys of the Lough"wurde 1972 in der Besetzung Aly Bain (Fiddle), Cathal McConnell (Flöte), Dick Gaughan (Gesang und Gitarre) and Robin Morton (Flöte) eingespielt.
