The Leaving of Liverpool aus: WORLDS OF MUSIC
Die Entstehung des auch als "Fare Thee Well, My Own True Love" bekannten Folksongs ist unklar. Der Volkslied-Sammler William Main Doerflinger hörte "The Leaving of Liverpool" in New York und nahm ihn in seine Sammlung auf.
Bob Dylan adaptierte den Song 1963 als "Farewell" und Tom Paxton benutzte ihn als Basis for "The Last Thing on My Mind".
