Cropper,Steve aus: WORLDS OF MUSIC

Der US-amerikanische Gitarrist, Musikproduzent und Songwriter wurde Ende der 1950er Jahre Gitarrist bei den Mar-Keys. Als Mitglied von Booker T. & the M.G.’s und als Studiomusiker u.a. für Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas, Sam and Dave und Wilson Pickett prägte er Stax Records. Cropper schrieb u.a. "(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay" und "In The Midnight Hour".
