Candle in the Wind  aus: WORLDS OF MUSIC

Der Song wurde von Elton John ursprünglich (1973) für Marilyn Monroe ("Goodbye Norma Jean") komponiert. Nach dem tödlichen Autounfall von Lady Di trug John 1997 auf der Trauerfeier eine neugetextete Fassung ("Goodbye England’s rose") live vor. In dieser Version wurde "Candle in the wind" zur bisher meistverkauften Single und löste damit Bing Crosbys "White Christmas" ab.
