TripHop  aus: WORLDS OF MUSIC

Zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre in Bristol entstandener Musikstil, der Elemente von Drum ’n’ Bass, HipHop, Dub und Pop verwendet. Typisch sind ein mittleres Tempo von ca. 80 Bpm, Samples (häufig werden dabei LoFi-Effekte eingesetzt) und harmonische Gesangsparts.
Wichtige Bands dieses Genres sind Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, Moloko und das Wiener Remix-Duo Kruder & Dorfmeister.
