Die schottische Indie/Alternative Rock-Band gründete sich 1989 in Bellshill. Nach dem relativ unbeachteten Debütalbum "A Catholic Education" (1990) begeisterte die Band mit "Bandwagonesque" (1991) zahlreiche Kritiker.
